FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Billy Currington has just released a statement about regretfully cancelling four shows in wake of the Camrose, Alberta, Canada stage collapse tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to Donna Moore, her family, and those that were affected by this catastrophic event. ~God Bless, Tammy
As reported by BillyCurrington.com "Due to severe storms and tornadic weather activity on Saturday night, the stage at the Big Valley Jamboree music festival in Camrose, Alberta, Canada’s largest country music festival, collapsed where singer Billy Currington was performing. He was on the last song of his set when the wind blew the staging down on top of him and his band.
Currington was taken to the hospital and suffered a minor concussion. He has been released from the hospital and has returned to his home in Nashville. However, because of injuries he sustained and on doctor’s orders, Billy’s next 4 shows regrettably have had to be cancelled.
Shows that have been affected are: Aug. 6 (Sikeston, MO), Aug 7 (Indianapolis, IN), Aug 8 (West Allis, WI) and Aug 9 (Pontiac, MI).
Billy is expected to make a full recovery and return to the concert stage for his August 13th show in Augusta, ME with Sugarland."
