Love Done Gone is not one of your run of the mill country or heart breaking break-up tunes. It sports a New Orleans jazzy edge with all of the Big Horns and is loaded with trumpets and trombones that explode with an insanely catchy riff. While a listener would expect to hear a sad or "It's your fault" lyrics this is not the case. The story presented is charming yet brilliant in its presentation. Currington makes it clear to us in this energetic upbeat tune that love is not going to get him down, it isn't any persons fault, and that things just happen because love can change like the seasons. All of this is delivered to us with Billy's laid-back sultry signature style.
“Like snowflakes when the weather warms up / Like leaves on the trees when the autumn comes / Like the dogwood blossoms in a late spring rain / All the disappearing bubbles in a glass of champagne / Like money in a slot machine / Don’t know what happened to you and me / It ain’t nothing we ever said or ever did wrong / It’s just love done gone.”
Billy recently just got done filming the video for Love Done Gone in New Orleans, Louisiana, a few weeks ago and from what I have heard it will start airing in the next few weeks.
All of this is on top of him celebrating his fourth consecutive #1 single with Let Me Down Easy and his sixth overall.

In 2003 Billy exploded onto the country music scene when he got the personal invitation from the legendary Shania Twain herself to film the video for Party For Two in Paris, France. (View Video) He is currently touring with Kenny Chesney on the Goin Coastal Tour' till the end of summer and getting the exposure he deserves. He has been reported as utilizing the enourmous stage to woo the jam packed front row with his southern charm and humble, gentle demeanor. A class Act!
Overall, Billy has been nominated for two Grammy Awards along with multiple CMA and ACM awards, he has earned multiple RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications, has had 11 Top 20 singles, an astounding 6 of those were #1 singles and not to mention 4 of them in a row, has sold over 11 million units, and sure to score his fifth #1 in a row with Love Done Gone.
Thus, the question arises, "why isn't Billy WINNING and or performing at the ALL of the awards shows?" Despite the lack of earned and deserved recognition Billy’s fans have always known he has been a class act regardless of his well known achievements!
