Billy Currington's Album Doin' Somethin' Right Album Reaches Platinum Certification Billy Currington's sophomore album Doin’ Somethin’ Right has exceeded one million units in sales. Giving Billy him his first R.I.A.A. (Recording Industry Association of America) platinum certification. And along with that the third single released from the same album, “Good Directions,” also has reached #1 on the Billboard's Charts. Kudos is in order for Billy!!! "I couldn’t be happier! It feels amazing to know that I have so much support out there with the fans. It seems like the shows just keep getting better and better and I’m having a blast!” says Billy Currington. (* Quote taken from AllAboutCountry.com). Billy Currington is currently has been in and out of the music studio putting the finishing touches on his third Mercury Nashville album from what we understand it is slated for a Fall 2007 release. If Billy Currington blends his new album with the satisfying blend of today's rockin' country, with a traditional blues-tinged country and then adds a dash of nostalgia like his prior albums, I am positive Billy will be an even bigger star than he is already.
